Can Do Cancer is a non-profit organization that works to improve and enhance the lives of cancer patients receiving IV infusion chemotherapy at a Des Moines or Ames treatment center.
Can Do Cancer Provides:
- dinner for patients and their family on chemotherapy treatment days
- house cleaning services approximately once per month during treatment
- a web site for patients to learn what they need to know after a breast cancer diagnosis
- patient partner support throughout treatment
Within a matter of weeks after a cancer diagnosis, many patients begin chemotherapy and undergo surgery, all the while trying to learn about cancer. This can be an overwhelming time. Medical information is provided to patients via health care providers. Can Do Cancer provides practical information and services to help women navigate through cancer and make the journey a bit easier.
