About

History

Can Do Cancer was founded in April 2012 by breast cancer survivor, Molly Zaver, after she completed chemotherapy and realized the need for an organization like Can Do Cancer.

She wanted practical information and services to be available to women in an easy, well-coordinated fashion.

2012 was used to lay the groundwork for the organization. In October 2012, the organization held its first fundraising event to raise money to begin offering services.  The organization began its pilot program later that month to test the program and make modifications before fully opening up the program to any breast cancer patient receiving chemotherapy at a Des Moines treatment center.
